Conflict Boss provides a conflict coaching service for individuals involved in conflict in work or personal relationships.
Conflict coaching is a one-on-one process that assists you in effectively managing your disputes or arguments. Our consultants will work with you or your employees to develop a plan to address your current conflict. You will develop a plan for negotiation, communication or confrontation, depending on your conflict and the results you wish to achieve.
Sessions with our consultants will focus on the future and the goals you would like to achieve in the resolution of your conflict.
Conflict coaching is an innovative process. The focus is not on psychological issues or in providing any type of therapy, but strictly in helping you to achieve the results you would like in the management of your conflict.
Our consultants will help you to examine the interests of everyone involved in your conflict and to explore potential common ground you may have, as well as to help generate creative solutions for your conflict. As an added bonus, our coaches will teach you effective negotiation and communication skills that will help you in the resolution and/or management of your conflict.
What to expect from your session:
Session lengths vary from a half hour to up to three hours. Certain conflicts will be more suitable for the shorter sessions, while more complicated conflicts may benefit from longer sessions.
Upon purchasing a session, you will receive a confirmation email that also includes a form for you to fill out. The form will ask you to provide as much information about your conflict as possible, as well as your expectations of the coaching session.
The purpose of this form is to maximize the amount of time you have with your consultant in generating creative resolutions, as opposed to filling the session time with the description of your conflict. When you send the form back to Conflict Boss, a consultant will review your conflict, "conflict map" it, and prepare potential resolutions ahead of time. That way, you and your consultant can begin work immediately and discuss your approach to conflict and the types of solutions that you would potentially like to see happen.
After completion of the session, the consultant will follow up with you via email. The email will summarize the key points you have discussed, as well as provide some conflict management tips and tricks.
Conflicts that are appropriate for conflict coaching:
Cases appropriate for conflict coaching are:
- co-worker disputes
- partner/management disputes
- relationship disputes
- friendship disputes
- family disputes
Conflict Boss will not handle cases involving continuing threats to person or property, felony violations, sexual or physical abuse, drug or substance abuse, or severe psychological conditions. Conflict Boss will be happy to provide referrals to services that would more appropriately handle these types of situations.
